Venu Isc is an Indian cinematographer who has worked in over 80 feature films and has won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography three times, in 1987 (Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal), 1993 (Miss Betty's Children), 1994 (Ponthan Mada), apart from that he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Debut Director for Daya in 1998.[1]
Venu graduated in cinematography from FTII, Pune in 1982. He has worked as cinematographer in over 80 feature films and has won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography in 1987 (Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal), 1993 (Miss Betty's Children by Pamela Rooks), 1994 (Manichitrathazhu) and Kerala State Film Award for Best Debut Director for Daya in 1998.
He worked with legendary film makers like John Abraham (for Amma Ariyan), Buddhadeb Dasgupta (Lal Darja, Mondo Meyer Upakhyan, Swapner Din) Pamela Rooks (Train to Pakistan) etc.
Venu had also done many good work with directors like Padmarajan (Moonnam Pakkam, Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal, Kariyila Kattu Pole), and Bharathan in Thazhvaram.
Venu is married to Beena Paul, an editor in Indian cinemas.
